Description

Randal Forbes calls his phenomenal telepathic powers ‘the gift’. In the sixth book of the series, he welcomes the new millennium with his family and followers.

His chosen daughter, and inheritress, Roxanne, is still at his side and just as powerful. His wife, Alison, and their children, Ryan and Amber, together with his lifelong protector, Clive Hargreaves, all remain steadfast in his life.

Randal has ‘dealt with’ his magnetic, righteous rival, Carlton Flint. However, when Tyrone Pendle arrives on the scene, with a similar level of dark power, it’s up to Randal to either tutor or remove him.

Randal Forbes has a dark side so malevolent that only someone with the same ‘gift’ will be able to challenge him. Is Tyrone Pendle that formidable adversary?

I was alerted to this series by a friend who has raved about Randal Forbes as a spellbinding character. Having read this current book I'm hooked. I love the plots and descriptive scenes. This author is the real deal and I'm going to backtrack with all the books. Tyro is a compelling read and as for Randal and Roxanne, say no more! Amazing storyline with all the characters leaping out of the pages. I'll be sleeping with the radio and lights on tonight! Sheesh.

I've only one word to describe this series and latest book. Compelling! The author paints pictures with her words. Sometimes a little too vivid and it leaves me unsettled but totally impressed. Randal Forbes is a complex character with insane powers and I can't help but be drawn into his telepathic web. It's so original because although this is a well-tried theme, Fran Raya has brought a different slant on it all as the protagonist is incredibly good looking and not visibly evil. The fact that he is so attractive makes his crimes harder to accept but after all, he is a serial killer! Sometimes I have to remind myself of that. An absolutely top-class read with twists and turns that draws the reader inside the storyline in a gripping way. Amazing.

Linda Buckland (Guest Review) - 03 Sep, 2023

Don't read this book at bedtime but do revel in this amazing storyline in broad daylight. Randal is monstrous but so weirdly fascinating and according to the author, simply heart stoppingly sexy. And I agree! So well written and imaginative and thought provoking. It's all my nightmares come at once yet I really couldn't put it down. Absolutely brilliant and I want Randal Forbes on my side please!

Fran Raya, certainly doesn't disappoint with her 6th book in the series of Poetic Justice (Tyro) she shows her brilliance as an author, yet again.
I have enjoyed all the series immensely, and this 6th book Tyro is gripping and exciting with an amazing twist at the finish.
Her descriptiveness is absolutely first class, she is an amazingly talented author and I wish her every success in everything she aspires too.
