In 1962, Jo and Jenny met at college. They soon realised that they both shared a love for music, theatre and poetry. As they grew closer their love for each other grew into something more than friendship. To the outside world they appeared to be just great friends, but behind closed doors they began to discover an intense passion for one another.

One day, Jenny makes a snap decision to flee to France, fearing that her love for Jo would be discovered. She begins a new life away from the fears she believed to have left behind. Back in London, Jo became the editor of a magazine and is very well known within her field.

The novel follows their separate lives and depicts their individual struggles. Though they both find happiness in their lives, they both feel that something is missing from their lives.

Can love bring Jo and Jenny back together? Or will the fear of discovery keep them apart forever

An amazing read with a great story which has lots of twists and turns. Considering the fact that I am not a ‘reader’ and I normally get bored with books, this one held my interest to the end. I struggled to put the book down as I wanted to know what happened next……although at the same time I didn’t want to get to the end. A truly lovely story which is so well written I could actually picture every setting and every character. I loved the inclusion of poems throughout which were so meaningful. Can’t wait to see if there is a sequel.
