The Vegetable Village Adventures are a series of children’s adventure stories by Suzanne Smith where the vegetable children go on adventures and to school, around Woodland Farm and Sturton – Le- Steeple meeting new friends, having fun and enjoying being children.
The first book in the series is Tango’s First Day at School, which is about the creation of new friends from the Vegetable Village whom Tango goes on adventures with. On the way to school Tango and his brother meet a large caterpillar called Cheeky who is lost and ends up going to school with Tango and Toby Tomato. Cheeky stays at school all day and brings the children back to the Vegetable Village. Tango really enjoys his first day at school and is looking forward to going back to school.
Author Suzanne Smith grew up in Lincolnshire with her Mother, Father and Sister Emma on the family farm. Much of Suzanne’s creative imagination came from adventures on the farm with Emma as a child. After spending six years as a border at Harrogate Ladies College where free time was restricted, Suzanne created her own entertainment- resulting in her fascination surrounding adventure.
