STAFF PICK: The twists and turns in this debut novel from Rob Osborne make for a gripping read that’s hard to put down.   [Hannah Virk, Publishing Assistant]

Matt leads an ordinary life, working at a bank in London. He whiles away the hours at his normal job, fantasising about a soap star, Abbey Jones – and can’t believe his luck when she arrives in his branch to make a cash withdrawal during a visit to London. However, during this once-in-a-lifetime moment, Matt makes a fool of himself and Abby is somewhat abrupt with him.

Following a stream of events and another chance encounter, Matt and Abbey begin to develop feelings for each other. After all of these years spent yearning for Abbey, Matt does not feel an ordinary man like him can develop a sustainable relationship with someone so famous, which leads to their relationship breaking down.

Will Matt and Abbey find a way to be together? Or will her fame destroy their chance of happiness?

Anything is Possible has been inspired, in part, by Rob’s jobs in banking – from Nationwide Building Society to Alliance & Leicester and then Lloyds TSB.

My kinda book. Record breaker for me, read it in 6 hours. Couldn’t put it down. Who hasn’t ever dreamed of meeting a celebrity, falling in love, and discovering the feelings are mutual? I bonded with the characters, especially Matt. Ordinary man with a good heart, living a simple life until the inevitable happens & he was definately at the right place, at the a right time. Big up to the author. Very imajinative script, throughout. I’m a massive fan of Hall & Oates & I’m hoping this remarkable book touches base, with them. There are some tracks that blew my mind such as ‘Me & Abbey Jones’ & ‘Abbey’ – very creative mind.. It’s a feel good book. Made me forget about all the woes going on in this world because I was so engrossed in this amazing storyline hence, finishing the book in, 6 hours … It’s absolutely true, ‘Anything is Possible’ – Live your Dream. Look forward to Rob Osborne’s next publication!!……..I’m definately a sucker for romance and a happy ending. 🙂

For somebody with the inbred belief that she is a luddite, having read this I thought je suis arrivee into the modern world of fiction. This guy can write! Not every book deserves rave reviews (if not written by Oscar Wilde) but I loved this. I love how he has such a grip on both a man and woman’s perspective.

it’s a tender slow burning romance that enthralled me throughout. It ended just how I wanted. it has the makings of a great Rom Com film that I would pay to see.

A fantastic debut by Rob Osborne. This is a great love story with a little bit of everything from wit and humour to dramatic and serious. The characters are really relatable especially Matt who’s a good man with a heart of gold. I enjoyed this read so much, I read it again. I can’t wait for future releases from this author.
