It’s the year 2020, and the competition to win Britain and Europe’s Next Top Model is hotting up. The five remaining girls are in Alexandria in Egypt, getting ready to show off their own dress designs in a spectacular fashion show. Emily, blonde and beautiful, is in despair: she has no dress! It’s all Helga’s fault!

On the way back to her waterfront hotel room, with just half an hour to go before the show, Emily sees an extraordinary sight. There’s an enormous whale in the sea, just outside her room. He seems to be waiting for her. Without a second thought, she dives in to join him ? and finds herself whirled into a series of astonishing adventures which take her back to Cleopatra’s palace in ancient Egypt and into an explosive sea battle in Napoleon’s time. What does the whale want from her? Will she ever make it back to her own life?

(From Amazon): I love this book! It is an exceptional way to convey the way our world is changing, not only on land, but in water two. I found it humorous and exciting and I couldn’t put the book down! The illustrations are brilliant and detailed. This book was a really nice change for me as I usually read ‘darker’ books.

I hope Ian Thomas can write more of Emily’s adventures of the past, Because I am sure They will be as much fun as the first book!

    Well done Ian, Five stars!
