Twenty-something and gay, Blue has sold up his London flat and gone to live in Manila, vibrant capital of the Philippines ? home to hustlers, ladyboys and a notorious criminal underworld. Blue wants sex and he wants adventure and he very quickly seems to be getting both? by the shovelful. But, as always, there are complications. Before long he finds himself in loco parentis to an abandoned street kid and, worse, he?s falling in love with his first one-night stand, the gorgeous, intelligent Filipino journalist Troy. More perplexing still, though, is Blue?s friendship with another expat, the charming and wealthy Sidney Hamilton.
