Into Africa

Close encounters with elephant, buffalo and baboon; not-so-close encounters with lion, cheetah, impala and crocodile; journeys by Landrover through elephant country; by boat and canoe along crocodile-infested rivers past groups of yawning hippo; on foot to see termite mounds, baobab trees and grazing giraffe; flying over the Victoria Falls; fishing in the Zambesi; bitten nearly to death by tsetse fly; catching by chance a leopard dozing, stretched out on a tree branch; campfires and songs; sunsets and sundowners.
