Belling's War
In this gripping sequel to The Unseen War, we find the great Leader and usurper of Paul Reynolds’ position, Mr Belling, reigning supreme in Atlanta, while the King is in exile at Dolgellau Hall, Wales, with his small retinue of faithful followers, including Laura Blick and Nick Hardy. However, Belling knows that to secure his supremacy, he must inspire the people to believe in the greatness and superiority of Atlanta and its place on the world stage. He knows that victory in war, rather than positive reforms at home, will deliver him his prize: he must succeed where Reynolds failed. He must also secure the capture of the King and his public trial and humiliation. Pitted against Belling and his subservient Ministers and Chiefs of Staff, those loyal to the King know that they must, somehow, either thwart Belling’s plans or mobilize a force strong enough to confront his forces. With little time and perilous odds, Nick and Laura find themselves thrust into danger behind enemy lines, where espionage and counter-espionage dance a deadly waltz of death.
