A Million Footsteps

Jake and Tom live in a children?s home with their 2-year-old sister, Abi. When Jake overhears aggressive conversations about taking children to France, and Abi goes missing, the brothers know they must track down their little sister before anything can happen to her.

Running away from the home, they set out on the quest of a lifetime, which will see them face challenges and disasters at every turn. Sleeping rough, hiding in caravans, riding trains without tickets, making an unusual boat, ?borrowing? food and walking for days when there is no other transport available, Jake and Tom make agonisingly slow progress across France. Determined to find Abi, yet wondering if they will ever make it to the south coast, where they believe she has been taken, the brothers must also keep their trail secret, in case the English authorities are catching up with them.
